Chartered structural engineer (MIStructE) and former design lead at Expedition Engineering. Sarah founded LoadBearing in 2019 to address the gap between academic research and industry practice. She holds a PhD in seismic resilience from Imperial College London.

Former infrastructure correspondent at The Financial Times with 15 years of construction journalism experience. James oversees daily editorial operations and leads our investigative reporting programme. His series on post-Grenfell cladding reform won the Construction Press Award in 2024.
